This historic antique wood is 350 to 400+ years old and is of the highest quality and character illustrated by
its rich tones, larger knots, nail holes and distinctive grains. From contemporary homes to restoration projects, these qualities
create warmth and elegance to any style home or structure.
We have partnered with premiere providers to bring you
historic, rich antique wood reclaimed out of the old textile mills, factories and warehouses built in the 1800's and early
1900's. These notable structures were built of longleaf pine from America's first generation "virgin" trees.
First generation trees were standing when the settlers landed in America in the 1600s. During the Industrial Revolution,
factories were built using longleaf pine from these virgin forests because of its large quantity, height, width
and density.
Recycling heart pine preserves the integrity of the virgin timber of American history. We proudly
authenticate the origins of our materials you have purchased.
For example, one mill we processed reclaimed
wood from came out of the original Cannon Mills built in 1906 in Kannapolis, North Carolina. It is estimated
that the trees cut for this project were 300 years old when harvested. Multiple buildings operated until 2003 when the
decision was made to raze the structures. Cannon Mills became the world's largest producer of household textiles and at one
time employed over 18,000 people.
